It doesn \u0301t take too much imagination to vision music-lovers hearing this music and than walk up to the Dj in a club or check the track-service of their favorite radio-station \u2013 who is this? \u201eThis Is DelaDap\u201c.
Which is also the title of the new, sixth album by Vienna based DelaDap. Without talking down on their former relases it \u0301s easily their most complete, fully realised album yet, it \u0301s ten new songs rich with catchy refrains and irresistible rhythms, at the same time full of subtle details and suprising sonic joys.<\/p>\n

Which is just about right, as \u201eThis Is DelaDap\u201c also serves as a celebration of DelaDap \u0301s 10th anniversary. In 2004 the band and it \u015b mastermind, DJ, producer and musician Stani Vana stunned audience and critics alike with \u201eCigani Rusza + Angelo\u201c and their fresh take on a clubwise pop music incooperating and embracing many different musical dialects from around the globe. DelaDap \u0301s music continued to grow and develop ever since, pleasing live- audiences everywhere as well as helping the peope to get it on at the dancefloor with their tracks. Their overall sound is more powerful and clearer than ever, generously helped by sounddesign- and mix wizzards Heiko Bandasch and Roland Hackl (2hero productions) as DelaDap \u0301s committed and gifted partners in sound for almost three years now.
\u201eThis Is DelaDap\u201c kicks off with \u201eI Know\u201c, an extremly charming piece of music knowingly (sic!) celebrating the joys of the arriving daylight, while a little later on a song like \u201eTu Es Beaux\u201c marvels at the night finally falling. Not only for this it deserves closer attention, as it \u0301s one of the (many!) crowning glories of this incredibly strong collection of songs. \u201eTu Es Beaux\u201c beautifully reflects DelaDaps musical modus operandi to take musical cues from almost everywhere and make them their own with a lyric mixing up english, french and german words \u2013 and making total sense in the process!
One of the strengths of \u201eThis Is DelaDap\u201c is the songwriting-team of Stani Vana and singer Tania Saedi, who not only graces the album with her incredible and sensual vocal performances throughout, but also kicks up DelaDap \u0301s game various steps with her fresh and multi faceted lyricism.
Often starting with basic ideas and notions going through Vana \u0301s mind while developing the music the duo manages to get downright philosophical \u2013 \u201eOne Goal in The End\u201c or \u201eWhile You Sleep\u201c \u2013 without ever being boring or strongheaded. On the other hand DelaDap have lost nothing of their joie de vivre as delightful songs like \u201eCaravan Of Clouds\u201c or \u201eSky Rocket Tonight\u201c prove.
They even deliver a \u201estate of the world\u201c-adress you can (no, you have to!) sing along with and dance to \u2013 the simpy great \u201eCash And Chaos\u201c. Elsewhere they suprise with an ode to the city
that \u0301s essential for the DelaDap experience \u2013 \u201eVienna\u201c \u2013 touching and playing on Vana \u0301s obsession with that town \u0301s vibrant and varied history.
Mostly recorded by the brilliant liveband DelaDap (Stani Vana \u2013 Dj \/ Tania Saedi \u2013 Voc. \/ Alen Dzambic \u2013 Acc. \/ Christof Zellhofer \u2013 Trump. \/ Matthias Auinger \u2013 Drums) with a little help from gifted friends \u201eThis Is DelaDap\u201c keeps up the tradition of working with \u201eoutside\u201c musicians, even allowing for a feature by singer Yola B, who makes \u201eListen Up\u201c, the album \u0301s second track a real treat \u2013 also showcasing Roland Hackl \u0301s great hand at songwriting. Ending this totally pleasant collection of sounds, grooves, melodies and words with a N.O.H.A. remix of \u201eOne Goal In The End\u201c \u2013 one might not be mistaken to see this song as one possible centerpiece of this carefully constructed album \u2013 it \u0301s obvious why Vana & Co arrived at the title \u201eThis Is DelaDap\u201c for their new \u201ebaby\u201c.
